Analytix was founded in 1975 by Roger Gruen and Lou Sauer and was originally known as Sauer Computer Systems.  Members of the company developed software and hardware solutions for many institutions and corporations across the United States.  Original products such as the development of KEY/500 (one of the earliest relational databases) and SCRIBE (a database management system for national timesharing companies) are just two examples of Roger's innovations that greatly impacted the Information Technology industry - especially in the Midwest.

In 1990, Lou Sauer retired and Roger Gruen was given sole ownership of the company, which he renamed Analytix.  It was about this time that Michael Gruen joined the organization and began assisting primarily with Business Development efforts.  During the early years of his employment, Michael excelled at the sale of products and services and became the leading salesperson. This coupled with his ability to resolve issues, perform research, coordinate vendors, build teams, and financial knowledge led to his appointment as the Director of Marketing in 1994.

The services provided by Analytix in the early 90's included the development and implementation of custom software applications, as well as the modification of existing applications for industries and organizations that could not find suitable solutions in the marketplace.  Some of these applications were Scientific and Healthcare Information Systems.

As the market evolved in the mid 90's, and as the prices for hardware and software dramatically decreased, Analytix was faced with the need to review other business opportunities.  This coincided with the fact that many of our Clients were asking if we knew of an Information Technology Professional or Executive that would be interested in working for them on a full time basis - supporting and carrying forward the solutions that we had developed and implemented for them.

It was these requests that resulted in Analytix forming the IT Recruiting Group.  Soon after we entered the Recruiting business, we learned that most of our competitors were small shops that simply pushed as much paper out the door as possible with little consideration given to the Candidates career desires or wishes.  Our Clients soon provided feedback that enabled us to understand that if we were going to do Recruiting, we should really learn to balance the Value provided to our Clients with the requirements and desires of our Candidates.

To facilitate this we created a series of processes and procedures, which includes Quality Assurance steps, to ensure that we fully validate what our Candidates are seeking in the way of a new opportunity, and to ensure that we send only the truly qualified Candidates to our Clients for review.  This is by no means easy, and it requires a detailed understanding of the industry in which you are working, as well as a great rapport with both Client and Candidate so that we can get to the real issues of what both parties are hoping to achieve.

After years of proven success in the Information Technology industry, and in conversations with contacts who are the decision makers from Life Science companies, we began to receive inquiries about our ability to recruit and identify Candidates with Biotech experience and skills.  Over the past years, we have had success locating such Candidates and placing them into our Clients on full time, contract, or contract to hire opportunities.

As a result of this success, and the growing requests from our Clients, we have formed this Biotech Recruiting Division.  Many of the same processes and procedures that have served us well on the IT Recruiting side, is now in play for the Biotech industry.  As we continue to learn and evolve, our processes will remain reflective and value based to ensure that we are truly providing our Clients and our Candidates with superb service that achieves their objectives.

Currently, Roger Gruen serves as the President of Analytix, and his latest invention is a product we call RappGen.  Roger also handles the review of Benefits, oversees the financial transactions, sets the direction for the Information Technology development projects, and functions as the business consultant to all divisions within Analytix and Gruen & Associates.  To see the benefits of using RappGen, click on the Analytix logo below and select RappGen from the menu.

Michael Gruen has recently been promoted to Vice President, and his responsibilities include overseeing all Department Managers, profit/loss responsibility, building teams, and the analysis and implementation of new ventures in which Analytix may participate.  Michael immerses himself in these new ventures, and personally assumes the responsibility of bringing new divisions and ventures to profitability.  This includes consistently performing in a dual role as Account Manager and Recruiter, and he is able to make this happen only through the appointment of several key managers and personnel that assist in the day to day operations.

Brian Gruen is the Vice President of Gruen & Associates, and leads the day to day recruiting activities that focus on the Marketing Research, and Apparel / Retail industries.  Brian has direct profit/loss responsibility, as well as building teams, new business ventures, and working in a dual role as both Account Manager and Recruiter.  To understand more about Gruen & Associates, please click on the logo below.
