Position Title:  Vice President of Medical Sciences

Responsibilities:  The Vice President of Medical Sciences will be responsible managing all aspects of clinical design for the development of new compounds from initial screening through pharmacokinetics and toxicology studies, to Phase II and III.  The VP will also be responsible for managing all aspects of clinical study design for the development of products and compounds and serve as the functional manager for scientific teams dedicated to identification and evaluation for potential molecular targets.

 

The VP of Medical Sciences must possess a MD or MD/Ph.D. with a minimum of ten years of clinical experience and eight years in a significant leadership role.  The VP must possess experience guiding the movement of late-stage drug candidates into the clinic and through successful implementation of clinical trials, and successfully lead the clinical development of drug candidates from pre-clinical activities through clinical trials and product approvals.  Additionally, experience in the management of collaborative teams, projects, and timelines is required as well as experience with FDA requirements, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and Pharmaceutical Clinical Development.

Responsibilities:  The Director of Biostatistics will be responsible for leading the operational activities of the Biostatistics Department, including evaluating workloads, resources, processes and technology for the efficient operation or the department.  The Director will also be fully responsible for the hiring, discipline, discharge, performance appraisals, salary administration, etc. 

 

The Director of Biostatistics must possess a Ph.D. with a minimum of six years of Clinical Research experience, to include experience in at least one of the following areas: Antiviral, Respiratory Medicine, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Immunology, and / or Oncology.  Supervisory and Management experience are a large portion of this position therefore experience supervising a group of twelve or more with at last three direct reports is required.  The Director must also possess experience consulting with the FDA, as well as ensuring adherence to SOPs and Working Practice Documents including authoring, reviewing, modifying and approving Working Practice Documents and SOPs and possess experience with NDA submissions.  Additionally experience laying out long-range strategic planning and developing the departmental business plan along with the budgeting is required. 

 

Experience preparing Bids for Marketing and Business development are skills that are strongly preferred.

Position Title:  Principal Scientist in Discovery DMPK

Responsibilities:  The Principal Scientist in Discovery DMPK will represent DMPK on cross-functional discovery project teams.  Duties will include develop and implement DMPK support strategies for projects in early discovery phases, provide high quality and timely in vitro and in vivo ADME data to drug discovery programs, characterize drug disposition properties, minimize drug drug interaction liabilities, and guide discovery project teams in overcoming developing ability issues.    The Principal Scientist will have one or two direct reports to mentor and train.

Position Title:  Scientist for Immunoassay Development

Responsibilities: The Scientist for Immunoassay Development will be responsible for providing support for biomarker immunoassay kits, training customers, assisting customers in the development of new biological assays, give scientific seminars to introduce technology and products and act as a lesion between multiple groups. 

 

The Scientist for Immunoassay Development must possesses a minimum of three years of industry experience to include protein based assay development using ELISA and / or Luminex specifically for either receptor or ligand binding immunoassays.  Successful candidates will possess experience providing assay optimization, troubleshooting assays at client sites, and working in a GLP or GMP environment. 

 

The Scientist for Immunoassay Development client interaction is key so experience fielding scientific questions from the clients, gathering data from the customers for analysis, creating and giving reports and presentations on assay development to the client, and have experience rapidly designing experiments in front of the client to test hypothesis is all required. Tracking and documenting projects is also a very important requirement for this position so a detail oriented and very meticulous person is what we are seeking.

The Assay Development Scientist is required to possess a minimum of three years of industry experience developing multiplex assays using sandwich immunoassays.  The successful candidate will possess experience with assays using serum, possess experience with quantification of intracellular phosphoproteins by ELISA or immunoablot, and possess experience with the detection and quantification of serum-borne markers or mammalian and cellular signal transduction.
